Alterations to gain additional and improved space
The existing church hall lacks clarity and tranquillity. By an extension and a new inner arrangement of the stage and back wall, the storage space will be hidden and the church hall will become a reflective and calm space. The wardrobe and library will be accommodated into the new entrance hall. This extension liberates the church hall and creates a remarkable
identity for the church building facing the street. The church community will receive a presentable church centre.
The additional construction aligns with the existing architecture and will be built with face brick and wooden windows. The hall inside acquires a new concrete floor that meets the erected wall behind the stage. Decorations such as embedded
words in the surface of the concrete, a selection of a few natural materials and ambient lighting provide the space for tranquillity and concentration.
