The building is designed in the shape of a tunnel, above the 800 metre long water-filled Kö-canal. The concept is designed in 2 phases. A new space will be created in time for the World
Cup Soccer Championship; this will inform and allow the visitor to experience the atmosphere. The experience of this space in the Kö-canal gives shape to the interior of the exhibition building. It gives it the form, the light and the view. In 2006 the World Cup Soccer Championship will begin and the Kö-space will become an event zone, pavilions and activity
areas for eight countries will be distributed along the Kö-canal.
The room is enclosed by a translucent cover, arranged with the displays accessible by a ramp.
